From my first Apple Macintosh LC desktop computer in 1987 to my 2018 Apple Watch, I have been an enthusiastic Apple/Mac fan, with a zeal that some of my friends have compared to an evangelical religion. For many years my friends and family members have called me when they have tech issues. I'd love to help with your tech issues, too!
I taught Art to elementary, middle school, and college students in Northeast Nebraska for 15 years. I then lived in China for 21 years as an English teacher at Inner Mongolia University of Technology. When I arrived in China with a Mac PowerBook, the guy who came to connect me to email brought four other guys with him because none of them had ever seen a Mac! Needless to say, in 1996 there was no tech support available to me there, so I started reading whatever I could about Mac products and issues. Learning about tech issues became a hobby, then a passion, as I found that I could help other people troubleshoot their tech problems and teach them new ways to use their technology more effectively. I joined the official tech support group for my teaching organization and provided phone and email support for many teachers using Apple products across eastern Asia.
As a teacher for 36 years, my life has been filled with people—students, colleagues, parents, administrators, community members, and fellow ex-pats. I’ve taught thousands of students of all ages and developed strong relationships in two different languages. I love people and love helping them to grow and learn. I love problem-solving and coaching to help others be more effective in their goals and aspirations.
"Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:17
